Masking Requirement, Powder Coating

We need to mask over the serial number label on our product and remove the mask after baking without damaging/tearing the surrounding paint. In other words we don't want to powder coat the serial number label.

Hello Scott,

My name is Cliff Shephard, & I have been working in the powdercoating field for 4 years selling masking supplies. You can solve this problem in a couple of ways. You can use some green polyester masking tape [green powder coating tape] (affil link) that will go over your serial numbers, or you can have a piece molded that is re-usable that you put on before painting.

Sincerely,

Cliff Shephard

Dear Mr. Scott,

Has your problem solved?

There exist magnetic materials which can be placed on the label (If it is MS) and masked.
