What Chemical Cleans Tungsten?
KINDLY ADVISE THE CHEMICAL TO CLEAN TUNGSTEN ROD 1 MM DIA FOR USE IN MAKING SEALS IN BOROSILICATE (CORNING GLASS) TO MAKE VACUUM TIGHT SEALS. WE MANUFACTURE MERCURY SWITCHES.

One reference (Metals Handbook, Volume 5: Surface Engineering American Society for Metals, Metals Park Ohio, USA 44073) has a method which applies a few millionths of an inch of nickel from a Watts nickel solution, heat in a vacuum with heat, then Wood's nickel strike, then I would plate 0.0005 inches of Watt's nickel, if allowed, then try to seal them in.
