Gas Burner Grate on Wolf Stove is rusting

Q. I have a Wolf Commercial 6 Burner Stove, took off the burner grates and cleaned them with Easy-Off. It cleaned them AND took the Black Finish off. These Grates are Cast Iron and not to my knowledge porcelain coated (don't think easy-off can take that off). They are now starting to rust, can these be painted with some type of paint?

Gas Stove Grates on eBay or Amazon

A. Hi, Sharon. You can try high temperature black paint (made for wood burning stoves, for example), but I don't think it will hold up. Let us know.
