Dry Film Lube on Stainless Steel

March 17, 2010

We specify Dry Film Lube per MIL-PRF-46147C on external threads of an Aluminum part.

We are about to make the same part in 316 Stainless Steel.

I do not have access to the above reference document.

Any suggestions on what the dry-film lube specification needs to be on the stainless parts

Hi, Raju. May as well put A-A-59004 as your spec I suppose. I just glanced through it, didn't really study it, but what the heck.
