Kitchen cooker changes colour
An ordinary electric black kitchen cooker which when the grill is turned off, a dull thud is heard which is an electrical short. I believe that at this point a negative charged gas is produced which rises up through the ventilation holes of the fan-assisted oven. The gas then attaches to the black oven top and leaves a chalky white finish which cannot be cleaned off. After a few days it has disappeared (oxidation). Does anybody have any ideas as to what is occurring.
