Electroplating lead on brass items

February 10, 2010

Dear Sir,

We are currently doing electroplating on brass items. Currently, I want to achieve lead coating thickness of 5 microns & tin coating 10 microns. I am able to achieve the tin coating thickness but am not able to achieve the lead coating required. Please guide me to solve this issue.

Gentleman,
1. It is not clear whether you need alloy plating of Lead and Tin or individually.
2. You have indicated that you are getting 10 microns of Tin. I would like to know from which bath? Is it from fluoborate bath or Alkaline stannte bath.
Kindly update.
