Electroplating of Wood

2000

I am a master's degree student in South Africa.

I would like to electroplate a piece of wood with nickel, chrome or zinc. I intend making a wooden mould that will last at least a thousand parts. I think that nickel, chrome or zinc would be best to use as it is not to expensive and it will give a hard enough surface.

Hope somebody can help me

It can plated by pretreating and activation of the surface.
