Upgrade to automatic powder booth

2000

Looking to upgrade our existing Nordson Cartridge booths to A fully automatic clean down/colour change system.

Does anybody have experience with this?

What other equipment is available?

Dear Colin,

Nordson, delivered in the past two types of cartridge booth systems:

  1. Where the cartridges are more or less integrated in the booth itself. System practically suitable for just one colour, because changing colour means changing all the cartridges.
  2. Cartridges are, together with exhaust fan, build into a separate unit which is fixed to the booth. Colour changing means changing this complete unit.

If you want a "fully automatic colour change system" none of those is suitable, but you have to invest -a lot of money- into such a system. They exist. However we never saw anybody changing from a cartridge- to such a system. It's just one bridge too far!

If you just want to simplify and speed up colour changing generally a cyclone is build between booth and cartridges. In the past I did a lot of these changes on different makes and types of booth. In order to help you I need more info about your situation.
