Upgrade to automatic powder booth
2000
Looking to upgrade our existing Nordson Cartridge booths to A fully automatic clean down/colour change system.
Does anybody have experience with this?
What other equipment is available?

Dear Colin,
Nordson, delivered in the past two types of cartridge booth systems:
- Where the cartridges are more or less integrated in the booth itself. System practically suitable for just one colour, because changing colour means changing all the cartridges.
- Cartridges are, together with exhaust fan, build into a separate unit which is fixed to the booth. Colour changing means changing this complete unit.
If you want a "fully automatic colour change system" none of those is suitable, but you have to invest -a lot of money- into such a system. They exist. However we never saw anybody changing from a cartridge- to such a system. It's just one bridge too far!
If you just want to simplify and speed up colour changing generally a cyclone is build between booth and cartridges. In the past I did a lot of these changes on different makes and types of booth. In order to help you I need more info about your situation.
