Continuous Zinc Plating of Steel Strip

We need to do continuous zinc plating of steel strip in a thickness of about 3 microns. Would appreciate information on composition of the zinc bath, I do not know if an acid commercial zinc solution would be OK. Also where I can find information on design of the plating line. Thanks in advance.

Dear Oskar, You can find the design samples in Us Patents ( you can find there easily by www.getthepatent.com) For your requirements you can prepare sulphate type or chloride type coating bath. Simple one is sulphate it contains zinc sulphate (App. 300-400 gr/lt), ammonium chlorate-ammonium sulphate"buffer" (app. 8-16 gr/lt Cl content) Best Regards,

Dear Mr. Ercelik: Thank you very much for your reply, could you detail me composition of the chloride type bath. These chemicals are more easily obtained locally.

Also and most important, can you tell me operation temperature for both formulations, the chloride and the sulphate, as well as current densities that can be applied. Best regards and thanks in advance,
