Need a dull black finish on an Aluminum structure

What can I use to give an Aluminum structure a dull black or satin black finish?

Hi, Bruce. Based on your location and description, I'm assuming this 'structure' is something akin to a tower or a bridge and is outdoors. I think it would prove very difficult to uniformly anodize or chemically treat such a structure, and that what you should do is pretreat it or prime it and then paint it with a satin or matte black paint.
