Need a coating to store lox and CH4 in liquid form to Mars or moon

December 21, 2009

Hi,, do you know of a cheap coating for moon or mars storage of lox and CH4

I need a material coating to have an absorption to emmisivity ratio of 1 to 8 ratio
for the incident solar radiation on the moon surface...

Hi, Mark. You want to send these storage containers to the moon and Mars with cheap coatings on them -- do I have that part right?  :-)

Well traditionally white wine is served with fish but it is getting more common these days to serve a dry red with salmon or Lox. I have personally had no experience serving it with Methane, that sounds like something Americans would do. They cook steak in bourbon as well which seems to be an excellent way to wreck perfectly good beef. As far as shipping it to the moon or mars I really don't know. I skipped out the day of the rocket science course and went drinkin, but keep searching I'm sure someone out there knows. If memory serves the Apollo program cost about 24 billion and it has probably gone up quite a bit with inflation these days so I can see why you would want to cut some corners here and there. GOOD GRIEF!

Ed. note: we assume lox is liquid oxygen.
