Effect of using a "too hard" rubber roller on adhesion tape test results.
We are using the standard 4.5 lb rubber roller for adhesion tape testing per FED-STD-141. Last time we had the roller checked, it was up to Durometer hardness Shore A 85, which is over the spec limit of 70-80. My question is, what effect would this have on the tape test? Would using it make the test more or less aggressive, and why?
