Want anti-corrosion coating for chromoly, green in color

I have a heat treated chromoly (4130) drive shaft that I *need* an anti-corrosion coating for, an would *like* it to be greaan (~kelly green color)
paint or powder is not really an option due to the assembly tolerances involved.

any suggestions? it should be durable to wear and consistent in color (more so throughout a single piece than piece to piece.)

thanks!

Hi, George. Electrophoretic lacquer is very thin -- maybe a tenth the thickness of powder coating.

Durable to wear is far too big in possibilities. Zinc electroplate dyed green would seem to be another option. It would not have to be thick unless you need good corrosion resistance.
Tell us what it is used in and someone may have a better idea.

Thanks James.
This is a steel shaft used in a bicycle crankset assembly. It mounts directly to two cartridge bearings. Should there be any concern regarding the zinc electroplate wearing against the steel (and/or stainless) bearing races?

thanks for your help.
