How to achieve this copper coloring?

I am in the process of making some props as christmas gifts and can;t seem to find out how to color the copper just right I'm going for the color scheme below,does anyone have any ideas as to how I could achieve this? I really love the way this coloring looks!

Individual pieces may have been copper plated before riveting. Copper paint is equally probable.
