Problems in copper plating baby shoes




hi first sorry for my bad English I hope you understand it. I plate baby shoes but I have a problem with shrimpy color I always get afterwards :( I know I have to set 1.10 AMP for each shoe .is this problem about my anode ? my anodes also after a few times using them become shrimpy and not shiny. should I change the anode ? I use copper powder with car varnish also I have problem to keep my shoes under my solutions they are in plastic and they stay in top does someone know someplace where I can buy the busbar specially for baby shoes ? to keep them under water and give them electricity at the same time ? I use copper wire but is not practical I hope to learn how to bronze baby shoes correctly please help me if you can
