White powdery deposit on welded areas of painted fuel tanks
I am conducting investigation on a ship fuel tank testing and repairs. A white powdery deposit is notable on the paint around the repair welds. It looks like the weld are done without cleaning up the paint and I am concern for the quality of the repairs. Is this white powder any sign to confirm my concern?
