Demin water supply through the stainless steel pipe

In my plant we are using stainless steel pipe(Oxygen line) for temporary Demin water supply. My question is :

1) Do I have to do the Chemical cleaning for the stainless steel pipe line?

In general, stainless steel used with DI water is 316 alloy that has been electropolished.

As long as your requirements are for water with < 1 Meg-Ohm-cm resistivity, either 304 or 316 alloy should work without special cleaning or treatment, unless disinfection is needed.
