Powder Coating vs. P-Alkalinity
Can the P-alkalinity level in a surface treatment wash solution be a factor in having poor powder coating adhesion to steel?

What ever is happening in the wash tank is rinsed off and replaced by the iron phosphate coating which is an acidic solution. The only way that the wash could be affecting the adhesion is if the parts going through are not getting clean. If they are not clean the phosphate tank won't do it and you end up with a layer of dirt between the substrate and the coating which is the basis of an adhesion problem.
