Primer application into a "taco" type structure
We are having difficulty finding a way to apply EC3924 adhesive primer into the skin of an EA-6B Prowler Rudder. This structure is approximately 5 feet high, and 4 1/2 feet wide after being bent to shape. The opening at the front is about 3" wide, and at the trailing edge the bend is a 3/16" radius. The metal is 2014-T6, and it will be PAA'd before primer application.
The sub-vendor says their spray equipment cannot get into this structure, and even with an extension wand, they would not be able to control the primer thickness (0.05-.15 mils).
Any suggestions would be welcome.
