Solderability of Electroless Ni and Electrolytic Ni

We have faced an issue with extensive solder wicking for the Ni/Au plated surface. However, there is claims that by changing from Electrolytic Ni to Electroless Ni will prevent the solder wicking. Not sure anyone can advice on the logic behind.

Would like to find out what is the degree of wettability for Electroless Ni and Electrolytic Ni, which plating will be better in term of wetting rate?

Hi. Electrolytic nickel solders better compared to Electroless nickel deposits. However, the question does not arise when there is a gold top layer on top of the nickel.
