What can I do to make a range hood look like it is made of copper?

I am redoing my kitchen and would like to make my under the counter range hood look like it is made of copper. Have thought of using copper foil but am thinking maybe painting a newly purchased range hood would be better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sharon in St Louis

There is a company called Sculpt Nouveau that makes a sprayable Copper coating. It is a fine Copper powder suspended in a catalyst hardened resin. Once it cures you can burnish, polish, or patina it. I have used it on cold castings and it looks like my figures were copper cast. They sell it in small quantities so you can try a sample to see if you like the results.

Well this might sound a little silly but why not take the old one to a fab shop and get one made out of copper? Just off the top of my head it should only be five or so bends and a vent hole. I once bought a big sheet of copper as a strike plate for a TIG machine. It was not cheap but it wasn't so expensive that it stopped me and I'm pretty cheap! Occam's Razor!
