Type III color chart

Is there such a thing as a Type III color chart? Where can I buy them?

Spec is for black, we get gray or black and gray patched even light black and very dark black.

So what we would like to do is supply a color chart with acceptable shades, then it should be easily agreeable parts are with in spec requirements.

Thanks for any direction on this matter.

The color is highly variable depending on alloy, anodizing parameters and even heat treat state. Anodize chips from the anodizer as to what is ok and what is not is the only solution to the color QC problem.
