How to clean church tower without destroying patina

Our church tower is clad with copper roof finish. What do you recommend cleaning it without ruining the "patina" look. It's almost 20-30 years old. I am an architect.

Well I know for a FACT, if you are cleaning a copper garden statue you must first buy a Feinwerkbau model 700 air rifle and shoot all of the pigeons. Then get a pressure washer and hose it down with baking soda [in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] and hot water. This practice has been done to death with wonderful results! TRUST ME!
