Plating silver over tarnished silver

We wish to plate fine silver over tarnished silver hollow articles.

We have the necessary plating tanks & material in place.

We have tried several times to do this but each time we have failed and get variety of results.

Can some friend suggest us the right procedure to plate silver over silver.

With Kind Regards,

Dear Sir,

You can degrease the part well and run cathodically activate it in a de-scaling type of alkaline based cleaner for 5 minutes; rinse well and plate direct.
