Need PVD vacuum metallization of components 2 meters long

September 10, 2009

Dear Sir / Madame ,
I am searching for an alternative surface finish to Silver Anodising that is predominantly used in the Shower Enclosure industry.
I have recently heard of an innovative chrome finish that is produced by a PVD vacuum metallisation process.
I have found a few companies that use this process but unfortunately can only handle aluminium sections of up to 1000 mm in length. I require 2014 mm.
Do you know of any companies that have chambers big enough to handle lengths of 2014 mm and in your opinion , is this process a better, cheaper and more environmentally alternative to anodising ?
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
