Need gold plating of silver chalice
Gold plating silver. I have tried nickel plating sterling silver plate 5.5 inches in diameter. I am using Green Earth Friendly plating solutions. I have been advised to nickel plate the piece before trying to gold plate it. I am suspending it from a six wires. I am not getting an even plate. I think the nickel plating should be perfect before gold plating it. Correct? I was using the solution at room temperature and see that the mfg. recommends 140 degrees. Repolishing plate and trying again. Can anyone recommend a source to gold plate the chalice and patent.
