Best finish for Die Cast A360/A380 Aluminum Enclosure Used Outdoors
I need a finish process for our die cast (A360/A380 aluminum) enclosure that will minimize/eliminate corrosion of the enclosure and cover. The enclosure protects circuit boards and other electronics while installed outdoors. There a 3-4 sealed connectors that are mounted in holes on the side walls. The cover is attached with seal-head screws and a from-in-place o-ring style gasket is installed between the housing and cover. The final layer must be white Powder coating.

Dear Mr Solis,
You can use either Zinc Plating or CED Coating as a base coat prior to the Powder coating. The Zinc Plating would have to be phosphated again before Powder coating.
Both processes will give you a much longer lifespan than a single powder coat.
