Hi I am Pauline and work on an sovent free E-coat line, I seen over the last few weeks a variation in the e-coat appearance, in the form of a streaking,at first I thought it was cream coat, but thats not case, I wondered if any one has come across this problem

contact the e-coat supplier - he will know the answer or at least point you in the right direction. Without seeing the process, plant and the problem, it is difficult to solve your problem.

Hello,

Run a check on the phosphated parts prior to E-Coat, see if the streaking is a carry over from the phosphate in the first place.

If not, I wonder if putting in some solvent will be detrimental to the bath in any way? This does happen when the bath runs low on Solvent.

I've seen this before. In this instance it was the stamping compounds, the cleaner stage was not completely removing them. This was at an automotive assembly plant and one of the suppliers of stampings was using a compound that the cleaner stage would not adequately remove.
