Refinishing 1976 Hatteras Aluminum Bow Rail and T-top Aluminum

Hello, I have a bow rail and t-top that needs polishing BAD! The aluminum is pitted severely and has NO shine what so ever. The boat came from New Jersey and now it is in North Carolina.. I need some tips please and a list of some strong cleaners to remove this oxidation and solutions to protect it when I get done.. I know its gonna be a lot of scrubbing so hopefully the stronger stuff will spare me a little.. Thanks in advance for any help!

Adam,as an avid boater myself I have never heard of a bow rail and especially Hatteras out of Aluminum but rather Stainless steel. Either way, have you gone to West Marine lately and picked up the Miracle Cloth for metal? This is very effective on Stainless and will make aluminum sparkle (works faster when metal warm). Best
