Hard chrome plating over black chrome

July 8, 2009

I would like to know how to plate hard chrome over black chrome (or black nickel.
Is any adhesion problem will occur ?

Thanks you very much

Hi, André. This is an unusual application and I have no experience in it. But I would anticipate problems based on the fact that these black platings are deliberately contaminated and are probably not one hundred percent metal. Why do you need to do this strange process?
