Nickel adhesion test on brass

We are currently nickel plating per ASTM B733 to .0002-.0004" thick on brass, 360 ALY.

Does anyone know of any adhesion tests that could be performed to ensure that there is no peeling or flaking?

For decorative coatings, a simple visual examination for absence of blisters, cracks or delamination may suffice. Additionally, a tape pull test or a bend test are more stringent but give increased quality assurance.
For functional coatings, even more stringent or quantitative methods are frequently specified. These are normally destructive like the knife blade incision of the symbol of number followed by the pull tape or the epoxy adhesive this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] measurement which requires lab equipment and gives quantitative values.
