Anodized coating on 77 Silver Streak
June 12, 2009
I have a 77 model Silver Streak and as you can see the anodized coating is all chalky now. You can see where I have wet sanded it but it's not worth the hours it takes to do that. I don't know if I am forced to remove the anodized finish all together or if I can just remove the chalky layer to get it back to a stock anodized finish. I just need to know my options, if the only one I have is to make deer camp out of the trailer then so be it. :) Thanks for any info.

I doubt that all the aluminum sheathing was anodized in the first place. Maybe the window frames were. Are the window frames free of deterioration?
In any case, the only remedy I can think of is a good cleaning and painting. A good paint store can fix you up with the correct primer and paint.
