How do I finish a light fixture in "antique bronze" finish?
I recently purchased an antique brass plated light fixture and would like to refinish it in an antiqued bronze finish for our new house. The brass plating was mostly gone, so I sanded & primed it.Are there any painting techniques that I can use to achieve the antique bronze finish? The electrician is waiting for me to finish it!

Hi, Susan. You can't do bronze plating at home -- all you can do is paint it in a color that looks to you like bronze. Some people suggest painting it with copper tone paint, letting it dry, then painting it with a brown-black paint and rubbing it away to reveal the copper at edges.
