PVD black and brown on brass components
I am searching for alternative surface finishing of brass components to paint coating. I've heard PVD plating produce hard surface coating that could better protect the components. For brass components, with nickel as underlayer, what materials/chemicals should follow? And is it necessary to add a transparent top coating after the coloring?
