Removing paint spilled on a gold and sapphire ring

Does anyone know how to get Paint off a gold ring, I don't want to try anything yet and ruin the ring. Its a cluster ring so all the paint has got into the sapphire as well any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

Vicki,
Is it latex based or oil based?

Try acetone this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] Warning! highly Flammable! or any edible oil/acetone mixture(1/1,or 1/2-3).Solvent based paint stripper can be used too but be careful.Hope it helps and good luck!
