Where can I find double layered metal

I am studying metalwork and jewelry making/what I have always wanted to know is:

I have seen many examples of excellent jewelry made from brass and copper sheeting stuck together/ and the idea is that you etch the top layer off> leaving the lacquered painted area intact/ the not lacquered area exposes the other metal .
Does anyone know where I can find these metal sheets? or how to make them yourself?
Which lacquer do you use to resist the metal? And are there any other effects with corrosives?
Many thanks

You can use copper plated brass or brass plated copper and any plating shop can do that.Hope it helps and good luck!
