How to do Blue Galvanizing

How could I make a helical gear galvanize in blue color?

Michael Dawson

Hi, Michael. Metals that are applied by hot dip galvanizing or electroplating are metallic in color, they are not sky blue or royal blue like paints. But if you are looking for a pale, pastel-like, bluish tint to the metal, it may be possible to achieve this with a blue chromate conversion treatment.
