Silver coating is gold in color instead of silver
March 23, 2009
Dear sir,
Now we have problem. In our plant we coat plastic to silver; but when we finish the product is gold color, we think maybe relative to humidity and temperature . . . if someone knows, please answer us . . .
In my plant the temperature is about 30-38 °C , humidity about 39-58.
Thank you so much

Sorry, Boworn, but I don't understand even what process you are speaking of? Silver electroplating after electroless nickel, two-part silvering, silver colored paint, vacuum metallizing with aluminum? Please tell us what you are doing.

What is under the silver that is diffusing through? Copper?
Iron? Brass?
