Removing scale from fire water pipeline

We are using API 5L grade-B PSL-1 pipes for fire hydrant network. Lot of holes have developed in the Pipeline and after cutting the pipes we observed there is lot of scaling. The water used is untreated ground water. We do not want to change entire pipeline. What is the method of removing these scales?

Dear Sir or Mam,

Depending on the size of the lines, and the length, there is an option for progressive pigging or other mechanical types of cleaning. I would need more detail to be able to help on this cleaning.

Hi ,

You will need to start with a water analysis to find out what conditions are in the water. Once you have this information you will then proceed to circulate a chosen acid to descale but in future perhaps being able to circulate a descaler would prevent further buildup.

we can offer advise should you like.
