Need jewelry coating for more than 3 years

I am manufacturing gold plated jewelry in which coating/Plating will not remain same after a year. I need a gold or similar coating/plating (look like origional gold color)which will be remain same after 1 year to 3 year. Please suggest me the right way to go.

for better gloss & adhesion you can use lacquer over gold base coat. lacquer may be ED if you doing business in Bulk. Hope your problem would be solved.

Thanks

Life of plating also depends on the base plate finish,
What process are you using for cutting jewelry design?
- most commonly people using Dual Jet Etching machine process in which there is a use of Chemical also known as chemical etching,
Always pre buff/ degrease the plate before etching/cutting

- In case you are using conventional method of die cutting, then grease is transferred on jewelry from Die

Put your jewelry in caustic soda ⇦liquid caustic soda in bulk on Amazon [affil link] in hot water (100 °C) and all the dust will get degrease

Then only send for plating, you will se the difference in Finish and of course life of plating will be increased

You could deposit TiN, ZrN, or an alloy nitride of these -- depends on color that you want. TiN is a dark gold, ZrN more of a champagne gold. We regularly coat earring studs with both, as well as orthodontic devices (braces), firearms, and other items with both materials by PVD (physical vapor deposition). The coatings are very hard and scratch-resistant. The cost is generally less than that of gold plating.

Thank you very much for your prompt response.
What now I need to know what is TiN & ZrN plating? How & from where I can buy the material & equipment & how to start?
