Can mechanical zinc plating be applied on smaller pieces in a mass production process?

Can mechanical zinc plating be applied on smaller pieces with the diameter ranging from 8 mm - 100 mm in a mass production process if its possible I would be obliged if someone could help me out on getting the machine design or with the complete set up for yellow passivation

Thanks & Regards to all

Smaller pieces can be electrogalvanized by Barrel plating and yellow passivated. If zinc spraying or hot-dip galvanising is being thought of,precision plating is not possible if engineering tolerances are close, particularly for threaded parts. Also zinc will be wasted in mechanical plating due to high thicknesses produced and hence not economical and also the appearance is not decorative.

Hi, guys. Subramanian is not incorrect, but it is certainly practical to mechanically plate certain small parts in mass production -- and it can offer the advantages of freedom from hydrogen embrittlement and greater corrosion resistance due to thicker plating.
