Paint peel off

March 19, 2009

hai folks,

I have a problem with our product (transformer tank structure) which has been coated with 3 coat system(zinc rich epoxy+High build MIO Epoxy+Polyurethane=160 Microns) and then this painted structure has been taken in to furnace and maintained at temperature of 90 degrees for some time to check its heat resistance. But, after the heating process this painted structure is peeling off. To sort this problem we have started washing the paint at all the stages, but still I have this problem.

Can anyone help me to solve those problems.

thanks,

PU paint is very sensitive towards HEAT and would Brittle if expose more time in heat. Or bake at high temp .

Thanks
