Thermal Deburring Advice please

Hi All,

I am looking into the optimisation of a Thermal deburring process. Currently parts are not fixtured and one setting is used across cast Hydraulic bodies and steel turned spools.

I am curious as to the considerations for fixture design and machine settings? - does anyone know of where I can get such information? - a book? - web reference? etc?.....

I am not looking for sub contract offers.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

Although we are thermal deburring subcontractors I'm always willing to help fellow TEMs. The settings are based on a chemical reaction so cast iron and steel can be done on the same mix. Pressure is dictated by the size of the burrs and component mass.

As for any books, etc... I've never found any.
