Tin plating problem in Ferrostan Process

Why blackish greasy tar like molecule appears when Ethoxylated naphtha sulphonic acid is added to stannous sulphate bath containing phenol sulphonic acid.
Is it due to insufficient EN Chain Length of ENSA-6 or is it addition of ENSA-5 in place of ENSA-6.
Chromatogram analysis shows our additive ENSA is ENSA 6.12 in place of ENSA-6.
Is there any impact on our electrolyte bath.

This question is open to all please.

Hi, Mishra. This site focuses on industrial metal finishing rather than the manufacturing of the metal finishing chemicals. And most people consider their formulation methods to be proprietary trade secret, so I'm not confident you'll get much help -- but we'll see.

Hi there,
Just wondering if you've received any responses in regards to this question, or if you ever determined the cause of the black goop in your electrolyte bath. We are having a similar problem in our first Dragout Rinse tank and are pondering the quality of our ENSA-6 as a contributor.
Thanks
