Hi, Sandesh. If you are experiencing a particular defect in your plating, maybe someone can give you a hint. But when you ask that an internet posting tell you how to do hard chrome plating, and what are all the critical parameters for successful plating, and how you judge the suitability of the plating for use on piston rings, you might as well ask how to build a jetliner :-)

Please find a library or an associate with a copy of Guffie's "Hard Chrome Plating" and then ask any specific questions you may have. Thanks and good luck.

Inner surface means something to you, but not most of the rest of us. Are you talking about the ID of the ring or an indented surface on the OD of the ring.

Specifically, what is the problem that you have.

As Ted implied, there are numerous books written on how to do chrome plating. You can not synthesize 300 pages into one short response.
