Electroless Au plating on Au

I am interesting to electroless plate Au (around 1µm thick) directly on a thin Au layer, then I need an auto-catalytic electroless plating.
I have found a lot of patent based on this kind of Au electroless plating on Au, but no supplier...
I really need a stable solution so I prefer to buy a bath than play with the different components.
According to my knowledge the appropriate bath are based on thiosulphate (ascorbic bath) or cyanide (borohydride bath).
Is someone as some information on where find a commercial solution / bath ?
Thanks !

Hi Anne,

If you are plating the 1um Au as a separate process, then you will need to consider the preparation to activate the think layer Au first or you will have adhesion problems. However, if you are doing the plating process from the beginning but using 2 Au bath (i.e. 1 for thin layer while the other for the 1um layer) then it will be fine.

There are suppliers on the market providing this autocatalytic type of gold solution. However, all the suppliers I know is from Japan. The other problem for using this Autocatalytic gold solution is to control the stability of the solution. The gold easily plated out on the tank wall.

Good Luck.
