Diamonds?
Hi, I received a ring from my boyfriend. and I wanted to know what the one marking means on the inside, it is yellow gold, with diamonds, and on one side it says 10k so I know that one, but on the other side it has a small picture of a diamond with what I think is an f inside, does that mean the diamonds are fake or something? I would really like to know!

You are describing a hallmark which identifies the maker. Neil BellRed Sky Plating Albuquerque, New Mexico February 6, 2009 I think that it is one of the grades of the 4 C's of diamond grading. Your best answer is to go to a certified gemologist and have him appraise the quality of the diamond, not the price. James Watts- Navarre, Florida February 7, 2009 |
It may indicate the "color" of the diamond. An "F" diamond is supposed to be colorless (and more valuable). But remember, it's the thought that counts....
