Construction manager wants "GO SAINTS" painted on new galvanized gymnasium roof
Our high school just finished building a new gym with a new galvanized metal corrugated roof. I want to have our team name painted on the roof but not sure how to do it. The letters will be about 25 feet tall with the total length about 80 feet. I can't find a painter who knows how to do it or anyone to tell give me a specification or method.

I can't tell by looking at the photo you submitted but I'll assume that roof is galvanized metal and it is not painted. If this is true, then I would suggest you try a military-spec paint and system. The system would generally be a 1- wash primer, 2- type high solid primer, then 3- topcoat. These mil-spec paints might withstand the environment better than others and give you the longevity you require. I would check with some of the top paint manufacturers and see if they agree. That's my 2 cents worth.
