Cost cutting in powder coating finishing




Can I do simple powder coating on one side and good finish on other side of sheet metal components for cost savings. how much will be the savings.

The simple answer is yes... with the proviso the thin side will not now be aesthetically as good and rusting may occur. Mileage... costings for normal film wts vs low film wts go to the Mileage calculator (click on image to the left). Input 75 microns and powder cost etc... then repeat using 30, 40 or 50 microns, then you will see the difference in costings
