Imitation Gold Plating
Thanks for Mr Ted and all members for this site. I work in electroplating of imitation jewelry and I search about imitation gold electroplating which gives a deposit very similar to 24 k gold color. Is there any information about this alloy and corrosion resistance for this alloy, and a supplier for this process & material in European country?

Hauzer in the Netherlands and Leybold in Lichtenstein provide equipment and services for deposition of gold coloring using vacuum deposition. The gold color is actually zirconium nitride. It is much harder than gold, so it wears extremely well, and also provides very good corrosion resistance. Most of the parts that they coat are faucets and door hardware, but I don't see any reason that they can't coat jewelry as well.
